My package from amazon! (Finally)
Well, last December 14, the person I had to give a gift to at our Christmas Party (Exchange Gift) wanted the book Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Being my stingy self, I was shocked to find out that local bookstores sold the book for Php1350 >_< when our exchange gift was set at Php700 (minimum hahahaha). So I tried to look for other means: amazon.com. At the time it was at 50% off so I was really happy. They even had a free shipping promo to US addresses (for orders over $25) so I tried my luck by asking their customer service if I could have something in return since I would be shipping the stuff to the Philippines and won’t be able to avail the free shipping. After numerous emails (gah, I was so heartbroken because one rep promised me free shipping to the Philippines then the other reps said otherwise) and one live chat (who gave me $10 credit because I simply can’t avail of the free shipping if I don’t have a US address), I finally decided to order and just ship the items through Johnny Air as per my friend Joyce’s recommendation (they have a US address and they’ll ship the package to the Philippines).
Since I won’t make this a Johnny Air tutorial, for more information, read this.
At first I wanted to order Steve Jobs and then some Like and Dislike stamps, but the stamps were sort of substandard as there were a lot of negative comments >_< so I changed it to Steve Jobs and the Slide To Unlock Magnet only to find out that I’m way belowwwwww $25 (yeah, I just found out about my $10 credit when I proceeded to checkout). So I went to look out for other stuff
I think will go with my haven’t-read/used things.Ta-dah! Rudyard Kipling’s The Man Who Would Be King + Other Stories and Hideyuki Kikuchi/Yoshitaka Amano’s A Wind Named Amnesia/Invader Summer (I’ll probably post some review or whatever later).Magnet - I find it weird that it’s so big. Hahahahaha. And weirder that I ordered it. But the person I gave it to loved it XD
P.S.: I was kinda dismayed that the package didn’t arrive before Christmas and didn’t make it at our company Christmas Party.
And yeah, the Where’s Waldo dedication is supposed to be the Amazon gift note. Hahahahaha. It was kinda funny that I expected much more XD
If you find my extra items poorly chosen, that’s my problem, I was kinda rushing on checkout because I wanted it to arrive as soon as possible XD
In fair di na rin ganun kabagal ang shipping given na Holidays.
